Hi!


Hello, my lovely blog. I started you because my three Instagram accounts are just too much to handle. Lives of other people are flying by with each swipe, and my life is flying by, too. I'm not one to become jealous of other people's pictures, I think more within the lines of "ooh, I should try this!" or "so happy for them!" But it's just too much information, and I don't have time for it. Ideas come and go, and I feel like I don't have a chance to stop, think, and do something about them. I am thinking about things that I want to say, things I want my family and friends to read, but they just stay in my head until they are pushed out by the next thing. I need you as an outlet for these thoughts, aspirations, simple life updates. I like that I am writing this post on my laptop, and not on my phone's tiny keyboard.



Today is Monday, I am working from home. I had a good call with one of my managers, she liked my slides (yay!) I will be presenting these slides on a call next Tuesday, I am excited. I like presenting my work, and I've been getting really good feedback. I could write more about my job, but I don't have that much time, so maybe later. All I'm going to say now is that I thank God for bringing BCG into my life (through my mom's "you're done with finals, get a job!" haha)... As I am writing this, I catch myself thinking "well, this is too much, tone it down!".. Well, the beauty of this blog is that I am only writing this for myself, so I choose to be ME, and my company shaped who I am in so many ways, it's like we were meant to be together! Haha :)



Chuck is in Arkansas this week. J&R like to hang out on the balcony, so I turned off the AC and opened the door to the balcony for them. I am working, while the doggies soak up the sun on the balcony. It is 34'C/93'F right now. We didn't know how Joey would take the heat when we moved here from Chicago. I am happy to report that he loves it, and he chooses the hottest spot on the balcony and refuses to leave. He is like a sun-starved tourist on the beach: comes early, and only leaves when it's time to eat. Well, I feed them on the balcony anyway, so he would want to stay there all day if he could. Earlier today I had a free minute, so I chased J&R a little bit around the kitchen. I love these happy moments. Here is a picture of a regular elevator ride in our building :)

If you score fabric for $10 and you spend $3 for thread and zipper, you'd think that the cost of a dress is $13, right? Well, 2019, you got nothing on 2020!

I just re-read my last post. In the middle of January, I was wondering what will happen next. Well, it turns out, at that time I was about 1 month pregnant! The hotel that we were staying at suddenly became so stinky, I couldn't stand being in the hallways, going to get breakfast, staying in our room.. Chuck was sure that I was pregnant, and I was sure that I wasn't. Well, he was right! We went to see a doctor on Feb 5 I think, just to make sure that I don't have some sort of extended fod poisoning, and it turned out that I was 9 weeks pregnant! Oh my oh my oh my!! I really didn't expect it, I didn't really allow myself to have any expectations since our miscarriage in 2019. I put in a lot of work that year to process it together with Chuck, and as a result, our love became stronger, our communication became better. My first quilt!

Quilting is hard, let me tell ya!! haha))) It took me two hours to just understand the cutting instructions. I cut out what seemed like a billion of little triangles, stitched them together, that stitched those blocks together with other blocks.. Wrestling the quilt through my adorable bernina was no picnic either! And not because of the machine (of course!! get yourself a bernina and you will know what I mean), but because I didn't have the right tools and skipped a few steps haha)) even my Apple watch told me to take a minute to breathe.. Yikes!!  Who would have thought that creating a flat blanket is so difficult? It is not, really, it just takes a second to train your brain follow a new process. It was actually enjoyable for the most part, and the result is right in front of me, getting ready to be mailed to Chicago for my beautiful friend Rachel, who is expecting a baby boy any day now.
